I have never used a steak weight before receiving this product in exchange for my unbiased review. I'm so glad I did because this product is amazing. I've cooked hamburgers and weighed them down with this weight and they came out nice and juicy with grill marks. Cleaning was a breeze. Can't wait to use it again, maybe for steaks or even chicken.

My grip had dents and scratches when it arrived due to the very poor packaging. Since Revain does this, it is their fault, not the seller's. The padded envelope used even arrived with a two-inch tear at one seam. Otherwise I'm satisfied. The size is just right for cooking a piece of meat and cleanup was easy. They suggest preheating it on the grill first, but since I'm using it indoors with a skillet, I just skip that step with no ill effects.

I have been using a steak and hamburger product for a long time and it produces perfect grill marks and presentation. Cooks meat evenly. The only downside I can think of is that after taking the meat off I wished it came with a holder to put it on. Overall, the quality of the product is good and I can only recommend it. I bought mine on sale during the off-season so it looks like it's been hit as a few centimeter long scratches show silver metal beneath a black surface. It doesn't appear to be pre-seasoned so prepare accordingly. Luckily, this is one of the best grips with no screw holes on the cooktop like other cheap grill presses. The 2 pound weight is good considering it's only 7 inches in diameter, and I don't mind as I just slice the bacon strips in half before frying. I'm hoping to try a keto diet soon,
