I think it would make a great addition to a rustic table setting when used as a serving platter. This is a great size for single servings of baked foods like macaroni and cheese. It takes a little effort to keep the finish in good condition, but that goes for any cast iron piece! I would recommend this product as a good buy for this purpose.

This is a cute little pan and has multiple uses. I've used it to cook onions on a hamburger grill and it worked fine for that. It could have been a little more as one of the burgers had a short onion on it. On my electric range there is not enough to cover the burner so the heat is wasted. The fact that it can go both on the stovetop and in the oven is a plus. It might be a good skillet for one person, but it won't work for more people.

LOVE this little cast iron skillet. Great for a morning double scrambler or morning potatoes. I can also use it as a standalone dessert (lava cake?). I followed the instructions for sealing the spice pot upon arrival; Wash with soap and water, grease with vegetable oil and put in the oven for an hour. I seasoned our large cast iron skillet the same way. It's very simple and works great! It's not a large pan so know that before you buy, but it's really great for cooking meals for 1 or 2 people…
