Love this little vise! It is ideal for filing and grinding small pieces of metal for jewelry. When it arrives, it is motionless and does not rotate. Very good vise for the price. I was also having trouble moving the spinning ball so I took the suggestions from other posts and sprayed it with WD and loosened the ball screw. Hey worked like a charm. Like I said, big little vise. There were no instructions for this, so I had to figure it out myself.
