Can I get a quality transaction?

It's a shame to send these $280 valves (3 pack) in a postal envelope that arrived scratched and the individual boxes are all broken. I can only hope that the valves themselves are fine. I can buy a grill brush for $4 and it comes in a giant box with airbags, but did they arrive like junk? Meet for action. Ridiculous

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Empty

Super easy to swap out!

One of the zones in our 20 year old gas oven has started to fail, preventing warm water from flowing through the zone. There was a manual override to add some warmth to the range, but that part of the valve needed replacing. Very simple - twist and pull to remove the old one. Push and twist the other way to reattach the new one. Couldn't be easier.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Protection

Great find! for testers

These test heads are on the heating zones in my house. The originals were pretty old and didn't work anymore. The plumber offered to replace them for $280 each. I found them and made them myself and saved over $200 each! Very easy to install. 1/8 turn and the knob is on top of the valve. Then simply route the control wiring to new locations on the new controller and you're done!

  • Great Price

Easy to replace. suitable for multitester

This head is easy to install if you have access to it. Just remember to lower the temperature on the thermostat to avoid overheating. Before disconnecting the cables, the power supply to the power head must be switched off. Be sure to replace the wires the same way you removed them. Also, the manual control lever on the power head must be in the up position as shown in the illustration before the power head is removed. The work took about 15 minutes.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Nothing here

5 Minute Install - Tester

I replaced one last year after 20+ years of continuous use. It's time to change the second. Just turn off the circulation switch on the boiler. Turn 1/2 turn to remove the old valve and leave it hanging by the wires (its indicator). Install the new valve BEFORE connecting it. 1/2 turn to secure. Then move the wires one by one from the old to the new valve. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver. The old one lasted more than 20 years, I hope to get the same results.

Pros
  • Good Thing
Cons
  • Useless Features

Great price for tester

I would like to start by saying thank you to those who answered my question about this product. My heating company came to check my heating. I was told I would need a zone valve head priced at $630 for 1 piece. Luckily I knew better and was glad to find this product. Got 2 valve heads for 1/4 the price! I had a little trouble getting it back in place, but I think that's because the old ones have been around since the 1990's or earlier. All in all I'm VERY HAPPY with this purchase and my houseโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Taco 555-050RP Zone Valve Power Head

I bought this Taco 555-050RP power head to replace an old one that no longer services the 550 series zone valve for downstairs heating. The replacement was very easy, all you had to do was twist the old head slightly and then simply remove and reinstall the three low voltage wires on the terminal block. These replacement taco powerheads have increased in price significantly since I last bought them about six years ago and are now more than half the price of a completely new 550 series valveโ€ฆ
