The collar itself is very good and strong, I bought him a new one because his old one didn't stay in place but the velcro on it did helps a lot to keep its size! The only problem is that the reflective flag/paw print has already fallen apart. Just hope the rest of the collar stays together!

The collar appears to be very strong and well made, but note that these collars are 'big'. Best suited for adult dogs. We bought for our pup (who is already big and getting bigger) and the smaller size was still very big for him, both in girth and cut size (width). In general, the collar is of excellent quality.

I was surprised that the collar is mainly attached with Velcro. I can't rate the durability yet, but will check in a month or two. Still holds. Disappointed that it doesn't have a choke function, nothing to stop my dog from pulling. But he's such an agile dog that without this feature he can slip out of the collar too often.

Our dog is a Mastiff/Pyrenean Terrier mix and weighs about 140 pounds. Collar doesn't fit. It is very sweet. The camouflage is mostly coyote brown with very little camouflage print. Very little. And I ask how strong he is. It's velcro and a dodgy buckle. So if your dog is big, motivated and strong, try a different collar.

update: no sand in the buckle! This is never undone. I had to try to remove the collar from my dog's head because the buckle got stuck. This failed and I resorted to high pressure water spraying, still on my dog's neck. Eventually it was undone. Overall a pretty good collar. Doesn't stretch at all and feels sturdy. The reflective pad died on the first day of wear. Other than that, it's pretty good.

We got her new collar today and I think we both love it! I like that there is enough room for a third patch, for a name/number, but for now I'm just applying her phoenix emblem. So far I have zero complaints! It doesn't have room to grow so I probably should have ordered a big one, but other than that it's perfect! Also, the patches seem to be holding up so far. I will update again as wearing one day isn't that much but so far I'm satisfied!

Our dog definitely feels comfortable in this collar. As mentioned, our paw print patch fell apart after just a few days. It was ok because it had a reflective back which still served the purpose. I love the durability, strength and look of this dog collar. Inside is very nice and soft material. Maybe it will help with the comfort on your dog's neck. The collar also has a great grip. I bought this for my Great Pyrenees to wear at home. This is a very large breed that sometimes needs a little nudge to do things like entering a home. So a pen will come in handy.
