Bought for my husband. Size L Pros: Works great as a raincoat. Has an attached hood. Cons: It has lots of zip holes and pockets, but no pockets where you would expect them. There are no side pockets that you can usually put your hands in. Not suitable for cold weather but I wasn't expecting it as it is a lighter weight jacket. It's a women's jacket! It was positioned as male, but the zipper was sewn for females.

I ordered a large and got XL but thank goodness! LOL It REALLY LITTLE works! Order XXlarge if you are 1.80m tall. XL was too short for me. I have tested it several times in heavy rain for long periods. It's definitely waterproof/resistant. You can definitely use it for long hikes. If they added pit zips for ventilation, this jacket would be a top contender in this backpacker category. I can stow all my survival gear in the zippered pockets. Mylar blanket, knife, water container, flashlight, gloves and face shield in cold weather.

For the money this is a decent soft shell. But it was created specifically and not for general use. And not for everyone.
