As other reviewers have said, this brush is quite hard. I can't use it in the bath or shower because it's too rough and I can't stand it. If you try there water will actually get into the handle part, but this super smart girl here suggested using nail scissors to pull out the bristles to drain it. I used this item in combination with the liquid anti-ingrown hair formula recommended with this product. The bristles are very hard but effective. It took about 2 weeks for the ingrown hairs on my legs to show BIG improvement and it can be a bit uncomfortable when using it on my legs because the bristles are stiff but it has still worked great for me. I used it in the shower after soaping my feet. I then applied the ingrown hair fluid after it dried. They work, but it takes time and dedication.

Not very happy with the scouring action. The brush has flexible bristles, but the ends themselves are very spiky. I've had much better results with super cheap Korean Italian towels, but this scrubbing brush might be just what you need for ingrown hairs. As a big plus, this exfoliating brush can be completely disassembled for easy cleaning.
