Type of review

It is amazing that I can build one of these in a couple hours with an Arduino or similar $1 processor, yet few of these products sold here actually work (in my experience). With my Pixel XL the larger remote button (the "IOS" button, ha) controls the zoom function, the other button seems to do nothing. The device simply becomes a one-key virtual keyboard and by default, on the Pixel XL, and this maps to the physical volume button (which is normally the camera zoom function on the…

Pros
  • Ideal for capturing candid moments and natural expressions.
Cons
  • May not be as compatible with all photography styles or techniques

I would like to give this 5 stars but sadly they are only available for a certain few phones. However, the primary reason for my purchase was as a remote access for my Android phone and it easily paired via Bluetooth. A download was suggested that doesn't appeal to me. I tried it and it didn't increase the usability of my phone, though someone younger might enjoy it. It is easy to use and I am satisfied. I didn't know the access was possible for specfic phones and it doesn't matter for my…

Pros
  • Lightweight and portable.
Cons
  • May not work well with larger cameras or lenses

Works Great.until. for my opinion

This works great. I pair it with my Samsung S3 tables to take pictures during my home inspections. I had no problems with it until the 3rd time I accidentally washed it in the washer. 1st 2 times it worked no problem, 3rd time it was sporadic.Lesson to be learned - DO NOT WASH IT!

Pros
  • No need to worry about shaky hands ruining your photos.
Cons
  • May not be as precise as physically pressing the shutter button

Works great on my iPhone X

Takes the picture or starts and stops video recording. Why pay more, this does everything anyone could want and if I lose it I'm only out about 7 bucks. I would order this product again. So simple to use and works so well. Whats not to like.

Pros
  • Helps you create stunning travel photography.
Cons
  • May not offer as much reliability or consistency as a physical button

Great Pairing good for me

This little remote pairs effortlessly with my LG V30 cell phone. The remote works without fail. Great for difficult picture taking positions, or tripod applications. Well worth the price.

Pros
  • Helps you take better photos and videos with less effort.
Cons
  • May not be as responsive as a physical button

Here's my two cents. Excellent!

I seldom give any product a 5 star review. Check my reviews and you'll see I'm a pretty honest reviewer and call it as I see it. There have been so many others ahead of me so I'm not going to go into great detail on this review. The darn thing works like a charm. I due toParkinson's disease have tremors of both arms and hands. I purchased the iPhone 6+ because of the image stabilization which helps but still shows motion which often causes blurring on both still shots and video. I'm not trying…

Pros
  • Enables you to capture the beauty and wonder of the world around you
Cons

Cool gadget, useful tool.

Upon unboxing, directions for use immediately available and easy to understand. Was quickly able to connect and begin using, seems to work flawlessly. Remote works via bluetooth, just turn on bluetooth and remote then search for the remote name and select. Easy as 1-2-3. Would recommend this product to anyone using a cell to capture photos.

Pros
  • You can take photos and videos without having to hold your phone or camera.
Cons
  • May be difficult to replace if it breaks or malfunctions

Pros
  • Ideal for product photography and ecommerce.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for certain types of photography or videography

I Love my Video Shutter Remote!

Places, Slate, Action! I love my Camerix Camera Shutter remote. I use it to make self-tapes of my monologues and scenes to summit for Actng jobs, I hope it works forever! Does it take batteries? Had to click a few times the other day to stop and start recording. I may order another one!

Pros
  • Helps you take photos and videos in a safe and secure way.
Cons
  • May require more maintenance than anticipated

Will it last longer than the one it replaced.

I got one of these alongside another item and it worked for a while, it was not marked with any branding was was identical right down to the cheap plastic but died within a week or two from a component failure. Depending on how this 'branded' but identically the same as the "10 for a dollar" product I'll either update this review to glowing and the stars will go up or the stars will plummet and I

Pros
  • Helps you create professional-quality photos and videos.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for rapid-fire shooting or high-speed action

Was able to sync with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 tablet and the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone. Using the built-in camera app on both, on the Note 8 the android button acted as the shutter release and the 360/ IOS button acted as a zoom. On the Note 4 both buttons acted as a shutter release with a 5 second time delay, Will try with other apps later and update. the case itself is pretty flimsy, if you're an active person it will not last long.Update: 3 1/2 stars. Just to let you that as a BT shutter…

Pros
  • Enables you to take photos in low light conditions.
Cons
  • May require more battery replacement than anticipated

Does the the job but not for my purpose

I did not buy this remote for its intended purpose of selfie still shots. I was testing out multi camera video using my smartphone as the third camera. In order to start shooting I have to start recording on two video cameras, my phone and my audio recorder. It's a lot of devices to manage. To simplify things I bought this remote to have one less thing to run around and hit the record button. It worked fine to start the recording but unfortunately the remote times out (turns off) after about 4…

Does what it should and does it well.

It set up and worked perfectly with my iPhone right out of the package. As of today, a few weeks later, it is still working perfectly.

Pros
  • Helps you take photos and videos at concerts and festivals.
Cons
  • May require more settings or configurations than anticipated

Easy, fast connection, affordable

I was looking for a device that would allow me to take pictures with my phone without actually touching my phone. My setup is a tripod-mounted spotting scope with a phone adapter. Because I'm taking video and pictures of wildlife mile(s) away, the force of gently touching my phone to take a picture is just enough to cause the entire scope to wiggle, making pictures and video terrible. I needed a device that would connect to my phone without having to plug it in or touch the screen. I also…

Simple, cheap, and works like a Pro!

The item worked Very well, I didn’t expect much out of it for the price I paid, but it is such a pleasure to play with it and now I can set up my phone to take pictures of myself or arrange hard to shoot photos. I was so happy that the little gadget had no hiccups, it functioned just the way it advertised. That’s rare nowadays!

Pros
  • Accessories
Cons
  • May be bulky and inconvenient to carry around

Great bang for the buck

I'm using this for self-taping auditions, rather than jumping back and forth to my camera, which can be distracting when you're trying to audition and just a basic pain the a**. This little item really surprised me. It connected to my phone quick and easy, works for photos AND video (which is a great plus), comes with a little plastic bag and a strap. I've got it hanging on my tripod, easy breezy. Auditions are stressful enough, this is just one less thing to worry about.

Pros
  • Ideal for travel and on-the-go photography.
Cons
  • May not offer enough range for certain shooting situations

Saves iPhone storage space for me!

It works as advertised! I'm not sure if it will hold up, though. It is all plastic and seems very cheaply made. I hope I'm surprised though and still using it in a year.It links up very easily and solves the problem I have when using my iPhone to do video from a tripod. No more wasting all that storage space because my videos include the time I have to hit record, walk to my spot, compose myself and begin speaking to the camera. After that, go back to the phone and stop recording. This problem…

Pros
  • Ideal for capturing action shots and movement.
Cons
  • May not be as intuitive to use as anticipated

Works as designed in my review

Nothing fancy but does what you need it to do.(I say nothing fancy. But it is pretty cool to be able to use a cheap little remote like this. I come from the age of tethered cable releases and hundreds of dollars for a radio remote to attach to the camera.)

Pros
  • Perfect for documenting special occasions and events.
Cons
  • May be more prone to error or malfunction than a physical button

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really great for recording selfie-videos.

No more seeing you in the first seconds of your video, backing away from the camera. With this handy device, just set up your camera; when ready click the device and start to record. I wish that I had purchased it ages ago.

Pros
  • Allows you to get creative with different angles and perspectives.
Cons
  • May take longer to set up than manually taking a photo

Taking Photos with Your iPhone is Easy with this Great Remote!

I purchased a CamKix Wireless Bluetooth Camera Shutter Remote Control for Smartphones - Create Amazing Photos and Selfies - Compatible with all IOS and Android Devices with Bluetooth / Including Wrist Strap (Walmart $6.99). I used the remote with a Vaster Universal Smartphone Tripod Adapter at Thanksgiving dinner with great success. I turned-on Bluetooth on the iPhone and let the remote and iPhone sync. Now one can set the camera on the scene you want to take and all I had to do was get in the…
