Lid broken due to poor quality control!

I received a defective cap. The gasket on the inside of the lid is warped and melted into a deformed shape. This will render the sealed part of the lid unusable. Will have to return. Proper quality control should have noticed this. It would be easy for them to correct them before sending.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Empty

No leaks in 2 years

Little things like the wrist strap, cap and silicone bottom seal make this bottle amazing. The other bottles weren't impractical per se, but this bottle makes it easier. Little things like having to carefully place the bottle during class (so it doesn't rattle) and being able to toss it in the passenger seat without worrying about leaks. Great bottle.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Easy repairability

My wife uses and abuses her bottle of Takeya on a daily basis. My best endorsement for this product is that after their last one started showing signs of the water not staying cold - due to all the drips on the hard concrete and pavement - I was looking for another one just like this. This model is slightly improved in that it includes that protective silicone bottom case that can help extend its life. She had dropped it once before in the parking lot. She's incredibly picky about things.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Our favorite water bottles

Great bottle. The taste of the water does not change. Easy to fill, easy to drink, easy to clean. You'll have to remove the rubber gaskets from the lid and cap every few washes, but that's easy and I like that they're removable so the area can be cleaned well. The bottle isn't heavy, but at 40 oz the water isn't clear. We also have a couple of 24 ounce bottles, so we just choose the size that suits the situation. I like 40 ounces for long car rides or just around the house. The 24 ounces are…

Custodian of Ice Drinks!

I just made the switch from plastic to this aluminum bottle and couldn't be happier. My iced tea stays REALLY cold even when left in a hot machine at 110*. The cap has so far been simply cleaned with a soapy sponge after each use and thoroughly cleaned with a cotton swab and cotton swab after 4 or 5 uses. The bottle itself can hold an OXO sponge. I've found that my long lasting lipsticks tend to stain the plastic and won't come off with plain soap and water. But a dab of coconut oil did the…

A good bottle looks best in the kitchen and dining room

This bottle has kept my cold water cold at room temperature for hours. The bottle itself doesn't sweat, but if it's very humid, the lid will collect condensation from the air. The bottle is disassembled into five parts: - lower bumper - cap - Takeya around the cap - rubber seal in the cap - rubber sealing ring in the screw cap. I completely disassemble the bottle for cleaning; Hand wash with dish soap and warm water. Then dry your hands with a towel. I use the handle of a spoon to [gently] help
