Description of TAKPART LS 160 Degree Thermostat

This is a 160° thermostat for all 2005-2008 Corvette with LS2 LS3 and LS7 engines. Control the flow of coolant through the radiator so that the engine can reach and maintain its normal operating temperature. 160 degree thermostats only BEGIN to open at 160 degrees. This does not mean your engine operates at 160 degrees.

Get what you pay for

Update 04/05/21: Buyers beware, not even 5000 miles on this one and it failed. The engine was assembled at the end of January, since the end of February I've been trying to get problems in the cooling system under control. I set the normal thermostat to 186° and no more problems. I do not recommend!

POFS! This is a perfect example of AMAZON auto parts! I will buy the first and last part from Revain!

Spend the extra money and buy parts from a reliable seller. Rock Auto, Auto Zone, Napa. I only like AutoZone for their worry-free guarantee! Bring in your old broken part and walk away with a new one, no questions asked! And that's why they're on my list of auto repair/racing suppliers! The item listed above is incorrect and works after the change. The thermocouple failed (causing it not to open) causing an overheat condition after only 12 races. Lead another 80 laps and ride 4 laps.
