I first bought a smaller box of these pencils and was so impressed with the quality that I now have a larger selection. You can manipulate the color with a wet brush to create a softer effect. I sometimes use them to sketch things and then use paint to finish the drawing.

Nice set of 48 watercolor pencils. If you want, you can also buy a matching set of colored pencils. They are fine wet or dry. The packaging is the prettiest I've ever seen on a pencil set. Light fastness values could not be found. Also a wonderful product that I love and will repurchase when it runs out.

I really like this set of watercolor pencils. They're not the most pigmented, but dissolve very smoothly in water and layer well. The choice of colors is great and I often use my Derwent Inktense and Faber-Castell Albrect Dürer watercolor pencils. They combine well with other brands of watercolor pencils, watercolors and gouache. The packaging is fantastic, one of my favorite boxes for colored pencils. My only downside is that with some colors the lead breaks very easily when sharpened…

I've just started using watercolor pencils and found this set interesting as I wasn't familiar with the brand. I really like them and am considering getting regular pencils from this brand. They react slightly to water and while some of the colors are well pigmented some of the lighter colors seem to disappear completely when I add water but that might just be my application. The colors differ from all the kits I currently own in that they are more muted, not in a bad way, just deeper in tone…
