The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

Good lens. I recently spent a couple of weeks with him in Armenia, and took most of the pictures with him. From the good: this is a zoom and it does not need to be constantly changed, since dust always gets between the lens and the matrix, which is visible on a closed aperture. 17mm at f/13 on an aps-c camera gives great depth of field which is good for landscapes. At f / 2.8 and 70mm it gives some blurring of the background, but of course so-so. If the background is far behind the back, thenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sharpness, dust and moisture protection (at least nominal), aperture ratio, stabilizer
Cons
  • Dust still gets inside, behind the front lens, not small, the bokeh is so-so

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

This is by far the best staff for crop I have ever seen. The most versatile, only the increase is not the largest. Sharpness is excellent in all FRs. The reviews write that it weakens at 70mm, but this is not in my copy. Moreover, it is so ugly sharp that you have to tighten the aperture just to remove vignetting, if necessary. But there is a catch with this - at F5.6-8, sharpness begins to drop slightly when viewed at 100% zoom level. Moreover, the a6000 still holds normally, and the a6500 isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Large spread of FR 17-70mm. Sharp on all FRs with an open aperture of F2.8. Nice bokeh. Good work in the backlight. Fast focus. Built-in stabilizer
Cons
  • Small maximum magnification.

Good and quality product, but there are flaws.

Purchased on sony a 6500 instead of 18-105 with zoom. The task was to get a more artistic and sharper picture on the reportage video than on 18105. As a result, a little lighter, a little sharper, a little more beautiful picture, a little wider, but there is no direct wow effect. Plus, the zoom ring rubs against something in some places. Slightly annoying. If there was a choice initially what to take, yes, I probably would have taken a tamron, solely because it is lighter. And so awed for soap,

Pros
  • Great picture, well put together.
Cons
  • The zoom ring on my copy in some positions grabs something when turning
