Review on Ultra versatile Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC πŸ“Έ RXD Lens – Perfect for Sony E APS-C Mirrorless Cameras by Eric Shaun ᠌

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

This is by far the best staff for crop I have ever seen. The most versatile, only the increase is not the largest. Sharpness is excellent in all FRs. The reviews write that it weakens at 70mm, but this is not in my copy. Moreover, it is so ugly sharp that you have to tighten the aperture just to remove vignetting, if necessary. But there is a catch with this - at F5.6-8, sharpness begins to drop slightly when viewed at 100% zoom level. Moreover, the a6000 still holds normally, and the a6500 is already starting to lose sharpness. In general, this is not very noticeable, but at F2.8 excellent sharpness from edge to edge. It holds backlight well both in contrast and in rabbits. Focus speed and stub work perfectly. If only there was such an analogue on a full frame like 24-105 / 2.8 with similar xp-kami, there would be no price for it. Everything is fine with the picture - you need to shoot in raw and then process it "fun" if the picture seems "boring". :) Great lens, it's hard to find fault with something. Only for the price. But I managed to get it at a big discount, a year ago, so there is still nothing better for this money (and for more, too).

Pros
  • Large spread of FR 17-70mm. Sharp on all FRs with an open aperture of F2.8. Nice bokeh. Good work in the backlight. Fast focus. Built-in stabilizer
Cons
  • Small maximum magnification.
