I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

With sufficient skills, it teaches you to be attentive, disciplines and helps you to reach the next level of photography. Different pros: it is suitable (with some restrictions) and a7 Has cons: For this price, you can ignore the shortcomings, because they are not critical, especially for most non-professional photographers.

Good lens once you learn how to use it

Nice massive lens. I use it on my crop sensor camera (d5200 Nikon). This causes difficulties in using the lens. I have to be very stable, e.g. B. use a tripod or mount the camera on a nearby surface. You must also use an aperture of 16f-22f and an SS of at least 125 or more with the lens fully extended. This means you need to increase the ISO. It took me a few tries to get it right, but I love this lens.

  • Consistent test results
Cons

was rave reviews and how this lens has a lower f-number of 0.5. Others say Tamron's vibration control is also on par. Autofocus is fast and quiet, and the lens takes good, sharp photos with good bokeh. If you can afford this lens and it's in your price range, get it. The only thing that sucks is carrying it around, but I guess that's just the nature of a telephoto lens.

Pros
  • . Great construction.
Cons
  • . Not as thick as other models.

Very happy with camera lenses

Very happy with this lens so far. The picture quality is good. VK works fine (a bit noisy). I was a little surprised by the number of shots that were slightly out of focus. Not a deal breaker and can be more technical than a lens. Most of the shots are sharp but from time to time it will be blurry which I can't explain by looking at the photo. The lens is a bit heavy so I wish it had a built in tripod mount. I tried the secondary lens but it interferes with manual focus so I won't be using itโ€ฆ

An amazingly affordable long range professional caliber lens!

As a beginner in the world of high quality photography, after many, many years of shooting with less equipment, I've finally made the switch to a full frame Nikon DSLR and needed a reliable, versatile lens for starting work and at the same time inexpensive. This lens met that score VERY well! This is a quality lens with great reviews from the many pros who tested it and the price compared to other lenses of a similar caliber was OUTSTANDING! It has an excellent focal range with decentโ€ฆ

So disappointing. on camera & photo

I had high hopes for this lens. My Tamron 90mm macro lens is incredibly sharp, even handheld in low light, so I was expecting an equally great lens. I wanted to upgrade my 55-200mm Nikkor to take better bird photos. I was totally disappointed with this lens. First, it's a monster if you're used to smaller zooms. 27 ounces may sound like little, but it's almost 2 pounds. It's 5.6 inches without the extension, so it's not meant for the average woman's hands, especially when you add in the cameraโ€ฆ

The Tamron AF 70-300mm Di VC USD XLD has finally overtaken Nikon!

I've been looking for the Nikon 70-300mm VR Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED IF AF-S VR Zoom Nikkor lens for Nikon DSLRs for a long time, but I'm glad Revain recently introduced a had problem and he stopped selling it direct (don't know why). I noticed that this Tamron lens runs at f4 instead of f4.5 and has an ultrasonic autofocus (AF) motor (USD) that is comparable to Nikon's. and Canon technology. I also scoured eBay to see what price I could buy a used or refurbished Nikon at and found that Iโ€ฆ

Last weekend's Supermoon was a good reason to buy a zoom lens (or two). I first tried capturing the moon with the standard 18-55mm kit lens that came with my Nikon D3200. The 55mm recording shows the very sad result of this. I then bought an Opteka 500mm/f8 fully manual telephoto lens with a 2x adapter which cost me about $140. It looks more like a telescope than a camera and needs to be mounted on a tripod. The "1000mm" shot shows the result, which was the best of about 20 shots. It wasโ€ฆ
