🔗 Copper Rivets by Tandy Leather - 11282 00 Review

As a result of my tests, I determined that these copper rivets provide excellent holding power and durability. They are easy to set and look great on any leather project.

When I opened the package everything looked fine. When I first started using rivets and burrs on some of the leather goods I make, I found that out of 50 burrs sent in, 15 had a 2mm smaller diameter and a little over 1mm smaller center hole. This rendered rivets supplied with burrs unusable.

One of the things I noticed in other reviews is that nobody specified the size of the flat round section on the rivet and ridge. So here are the measurements. The rounded end that attaches to the rivet is 7/16" in diameter, or just under 1/2" in diameter. A burr (which looks like a washer) is just a hair less. The total length of the part is 1 inch. These dimensions are for #9 rivets only. I have not used others. I have used these rivets many times and they work great. Hope that helps.
