This anvil is a perfect match for the Tandy Riveter and arrived exactly as described. Very strong metal, this product is strong and durable.

Surprisingly I like this cheap anvil. I bought an expensive one, also a combo and this one is my favorite. In fact, I use 2 of these to install rivets. When I use regular setters, my setter slips and I have lines and curves on the rivets. So I glued an anvil to the setter and used it as the big setter. Love it. No bends and rivets fitted very well

My wallet strap broke and I thought I must sell it and look for a new one. Then came the idea to fix it myself. I bought this, a rivet set and a double cap rivet and my wallet is like new for a fraction of what a new wallet would cost. If you are like me and have never used a riveter, there are helpful videos on You Tube showing you how to use the item. Go ahead and save yourself some money.

Tandy 8056-00 anvil, 8100-00 riveting tool and different types of rivets bought. I've never riveted anything before, but this made things easier. If you've never done this before, try a few attempts with a pry bar. It turned out that a few small taps worked much better than one hard tap. It's also important to keep the rivet centered on the anvil, hit the rivet setter straight, and hit it straight with the hammer - I set a few rivets a little crooked before realizing this.
