Pretty sharp awl for sewing supplies and accessories

Pretty sharp awl. I missed the leather target and stuck it in with the tip of my thumb. Now everything is healed and I did the stitching with a staple gun. Yes, I did not sew my thumb to the holster. OverAwl. . .pretty useful tool. Be careful there.

Great for "small " sewing jobs

The My Leather Factory sewing awl has helped me with some heavy sewing projects with great success. But there are some sewing jobs that are too delicate to use the strong waxed nylon thread and large needle that comes with the sewing awl. Fine but strong nylon padding thread and a fine Leather Factory sewing needle are excellent for this job. It's easy to use, sharp enough to easily pierce through multiple layers of upholstery fabric, and small enough to use fine upholstery thread with a sewing

  • boring packaging

Not suitable! the best in sewing

I bought this needle to use with my standard sewing awl. The first thing you'll notice is that the needle doesn't fit in the awl. I finally managed to assemble it by inserting the needle tip into the Dremmel tool's keyless chuck and grinding down the shank until it fit into the awl's shank hole. Be careful because if the needle comes loose in the chuck you have a very sharp object that could touch someone. It should also be noted that the hole is for the thread and is not designed for use with…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
