🔫 Black Tandy Leather Spring Belt Holster Clip - Model 1240-24 Review

Great sturdy belt clip. no sharp edges. I use it for my Tascam DR-40 audio recorder. The hole diameter is a little less than 1/4 inch, but this is an easy mod to drill it out a little more. Hole. And I may have installed it backwards. Oops. Just thought someone would like to see how big the clip is compared to the DR-40 itself.

I make Kydex holsters for myself and friends. I've found that even the best Kydex belt clips (CompTac etc.) break when used used by the "wrong" people. Either you treat them right or they have a very short lifespan. On the other hand, these metal clips are very strong. Their clamping force is really impressive for their size, and now that I'm giving people holsters, I have I don't have to worry about them breaking the clip Plus they're cheaper than most Kydex All in all an easy win.

Use as a keychain. It's probably a bit wide and a bit bulky for the amount I carry on my keys, which is six keys, car keys, a AAA flashlight, and a PS4 leather syringe, but it pairs great with jeans. it becomes very stiff and difficult to get through the pants. I bent it a bit to make it easier to get in and out of my pants and it's been good ever since. the paint is quite durable.
