I don't know what the smell is, but the stench is hard to deal with when you use them. They are a good size and are otherwise good.

Each pack stinks of cigarette smoke. Every time I open a roll to use, the awful stench of an old, dirty ashtray that has never been emptied or cleaned hits me in the face.

Originally ordered as we were renovating and thought it might be useful. Unfortunately, the painters forgot their clothes on the first day, and this order came in handy. I looked like a super organized STAR!

I wouldn't call this wipe. It's the thinnest plastic you'll ever see. You can lay it down to prevent paint splatter or whatever, but you'd better tape it down because the slightest breeze if you just walk on it will blow it away or move it. Cheap!

My girls bathroom has white tiles halfway up the wall. I needed a light but strong plastic to cover it. These worked great. And they were long enough that when I attached them to the wall, the bottom portion overlapped and also covered the floor, eliminating the need for extra rags. They also worked on covering the bathroom vanities. Very happy with my purchase.

These are simple cases. Ideal for covering furniture when painting. Suitable for protecting carpets from dust and paint, but may tear under heavy foot traffic. With care, I could use them to collect, pull and shake drywall sanding dust and then reuse them to collect drips of paint. I don't do a lot of drips, but some are inevitable and hard to get off the carpet. This pack had more than what I use to paint a 7 bedroom house.

Note that plastic breaks severely with ANY contact (accidental or intentional) with masking tape. I was surprised that I couldn't remove the tape without tearing the plastic completely. It's hard to avoid if you're covering tricky areas or trying to seal doors etc. This of course depends on the application and I did it myself so with another person holding the plastic in place and some other tape it would be less of a problem. Of course it doesn't matter if you don't glue this fabric.

We used them to cover holes in the ceiling to collect dirt when replacing windows. For that it worked well. Beautiful, thin and light, it stayed on the ceiling for weeks during renovation delays. BUT THE SMELL OF A CIGARETTE! They smell like everyone in the factory is a heavy smoker. Also, there is no label on the packaging to help you find out where it came from.
