I have your typical blue port tarpaulin. I bought them thinking they would stay pinned to the tarp. I tightened them as best I could. Put on and pull off the tension cable. I will not buy again. Not a good product.

These crocodile style clips are great. I added extra anchor lines to the tarpaulin. Clamp and hold! They do NOT have a negative effect on the material. Also, they have a nice big hole for hook or cord for an elastic cord. They are inexpensive and well built - Buy'm!

I thought these tarp clips were well made and useful for securing tarps and other items. I use them to hang blankets on the walls to mute the audio in my impromptu A/V studio. I think they can be useful for many purposes related to storing or hanging similar items. I will have them on hand for various projects.

I have other various tarp clips, the ones that compress the clip and they weren't that great, especially when a lot of force is pulled on the clip. But these tarp clips work great, they're inexpensive, and the fact that you can hand tighten them and they won't slip out easily is very useful in those instances where "Oh click, I need to put up a makeshift tent or shelter." " and that requires some unconventional ties at the end.

This is a handy and essential tool for us to attach the tarp to our trailer. We only have 4 tie downs and our trailer tracks are too big to hook the web bungee. And canvas rivets loosen over time. These small clips allow you to attach two layers of tarp together to keep the corners from dangling. We use a plier clamp where the bindings should be and wrap the bungee around the trailer rails.
