An easy-to-read, 2-3/4-inch dial measures temperatures from 200- to 400-degrees Fahrenheit. The thermometer's adjustable kettle clip secures the thermometer to the cooking vessel for safety and stability. A 6-inch steel probe monitors sugar temperature for sweets, or oil for deep-frying doughnuts to chicken. The dial features a movable red arrow that may be set as a target temperature indicator. This thermometer is dishwasher safe.

Scrap on kitchen utensils and appliances

I bought this thermometer specifically for making fudge --- I received it a few days ago and used it for the first time yesterday. I made chocolate fudge and it was a complete disaster. Making fudge is EXPENSIVE and I lost a few bucks on this thermometer. It didn't get to softball stage and I boiled it to crack stage when I finally got a cup of ice water. I calibrated it today with boiling water - and a 3 minute test and it doesn't go over 200. How do I get my $7.94 back?

Pros
  • This thermometer is dishwasher safe.
Cons
  • Low repairability

Came WITH BROKEN BEARING!

Looks like a good thermometer to use as a top vent thermometer for my Webber One Touch Gold. The thermometer arrived in a padded manila envelope and the stem was bent all the way down. And the red pin on the face stuck in the back of the faceplate. When I tried to gently push the stem back into place it snapped leaving the stem very wobbly. I still tried to use it even the broken one and it registered something but only to 250. AMAZON IF YOU LISTENING I would suggest sending the thermometers in

Amazing tool! in kitchen and dining room

Excellent thermometer! Of course I've only used it for dairy-based dishes (homemade yogurt and ricotta cheese) but it works and I can't complain. Liquid, but also far enough from the bottom of the pan (2 inches). I didn't risk giving up dairy-based meals because I cooked fried foods and sweets and usually just stared at them. I don't want to risk a whole liter of milk, so the exact temperature is important to me. All in all, this is an amazing tool. This pays homage to old-school design and is…

For the best candy! for thermometer and timer

Every Christmas we bake cookies and make enough candy for all the neighbors. This is one of our favorite traditions. Candy making is pretty accurate, and after trying it by eye for a while and dripping the mixture into cold water, I finally broke down and bought a Taylor Precision Products candy/frie/jelly thermometer. After 10 years of use it still works great. WHAT I LIKE: • This thermometer is dishwasher safe! I don't understand why anyone would make something that can't be washed in the…

Pros
