Large, clear display and high accuracy

If you bake without checking the oven temperature first, you will not get good results. If a recipe calls for 325 or 375, wait for your oven to reach that temperature before placing food in it. You can of course get by without waiting for some dishes such as casseroles or stews, but not for cakes, biscuits and other baked goods.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • For seniors

Expected to work best in fridge thermometers

We received two packages because we suspected that there are points in our refrigerator that do not always correspond to the temperature of the rest of the refrigerator. They seemed to confirm this. They served our needs with temperature readings fairly well, but if you need something more accurate you might want to consider other products. As far as we can tell, they appear to be within a power or two of accuracy.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Used once and broken

Glass cracked the first time the oven thermometer was used. It seems to be fairly well matched to the correct temperature readings. Our assumption that the oven was not heated up enough was confirmed. It's big and easy to see, but it's big. My oven struggled to adjust. Will not fit between racks if they are close together and oven is not big enough to use if racks are too far apart. Not perfect, but it works.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Excellent thermometers. More than you think.

I am very satisfied with both the oven and the fridge/freezer thermometer. I particularly like how large the thermometers are so they're easy to read. If you use them in a smaller oven you can measure to see what you get. I consider it a pro but was surprised at how big they are compared to my old one. Twice as much. Good product. I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Zero
