Very poor design, suitable for kitchen utensils and gadgets

The timer has a "thin" beveled design. However, where the control buttons are in the front, they are outside the start of the bevels in the back. So when you press the "Mode" button or the "Second" button, you lift the device off the magnetic surface it's attached to and it detaches from that surface and falls down. This cheap Chinese junk went in the trash.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Protection

Super low alarm volume

Just bought a Taylor 5846-9 digital timer and am very disappointed in it. The alarm clock is so quiet you have to put it to your ear to hear it. Made in China - what did I expect? A timer that I could hear when it went off. I bought a timer because the one on the stove is too quiet to hear when we leave the room, but I don't hear it past 12 inches. Sorry for the negative feedback but this is coming back.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Big and bulky

One big mistake

I like the display on this timer, it's quite large and easy to read from a distance. I'll admit my hearing isn't the best, but this timer is barely audible when the alarm goes off. There's no way to increase the volume, and unless I hold it close to my ear I can barely hear it. For that reason I brought it back and ended up writing my own in C# that does everything I need and has a reasonable volume to adjust if needed.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some problems

A few important things are missing.

This timer works pretty well but there are a few things I don't like about it. First, it looks silvery on my computer screen. The description states "silver button accents" and does not specify the color of the timer. Okay, I guess it's my fault I shouldn't take it. But the optics and the color claim "silver" and the lack of a color designation deceive me. Second, magnets are terrible. There are 2 small magnets that are very weak. It often falls off my stainless steel grid. It stays on until…

  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Bought for the clock

To be honest I didn't buy this as a timer. I was looking for a small/thin battery powered digital clock with big numbers but couldn't find one I liked. There used to be a lot of choice in the auto department but the only thing I found were some really cheap watches. So when I stumbled across these I bought them, the quality of this unit compared to other watches I've looked at is night and day. The timer/clock is very easy to use. One feature I like is the magnets on the back of the device. But
