This bulb was a replacement for a similar bulb that I have used in the same bulb for over 25 years. This one didn't even last a month! I threw it away and put an ordinary lightbulb in this lamp! Maybe it was just a blown bulb but I shouldn't have taken the time to return it even if it was an electronic one.

I had a nasty lighting problem in my unfinished basement: the main area was about 16 x 32 with three lightbulbs mounted on the ceiling rafters. Each incandescent or LED "light bulb" either didn't emit enough light or the light was uncomfortably bright and direct; Adding lampshades to lightbulbs never helped either.
