Didn't last more than eight months

Moved into a house with all sorts of lamps and household mishmash. If I had the knowledge, I would rip out this light and replace it with a simple lamp on an incandescent bulb. I bought this lamp as a spare because it wasn't in home storage and this is the number of hardware stores I live at. Bought in late February, installed in March, burned out in October.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • boring packaging

Revain solved my problem!

I wasn't sure if this light would fit to replace my Lithonia 2CT6 Circline 4 pin kitchen lamp as the 4 pins were in the middle and not at an angle. However, my connection cable was long enough that I could turn the light bulb upside down and attach it from below. Every store clerk I spoke to thought I had to buy a brand new light fixture.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good

conflicting specifications in the description, short lifespan

conflicting specifications listed in the product description. I wanted a warm 2700K bulb. The title says 2850K, the chart says 3500K and the description section says 2700K. The box says 3500K. Power 58W on the box but 30W in the table. The product fits nicely in the fixture considering the advertised 9 inch diameter. My original lamp was a 55W Viva 82 CRI 2700K. Update - Took 6 months before it started flickering and dimming so it could be due to different specs.

Pros
  • great design
Cons
  • crumpled packaging

Stops working after 1 month

Received and installed on January 8th, 2021. It stopped working on February 17th. The lamp should work for several years, not 1 month. It's in a bathroom with a window, so we only use the light at night, it's not overused. Incredibly disappointed that after only 1 month I have to look for a more durable lamp. The last replacement bulb (from another manufacturer) lasted 2 years, but this bulb is no longer available. The original that came with my light lasted about 5 years.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only
