Description of Nokian Tires Nordman RS2 205/55 R16 94R winter

The Nordman RS2 winter tire is designed specifically for difficult winter road conditions in regions located north of the Arctic Circle. This model is characterized by excellent handling and grip on icy and snowy surfaces. These properties are ensured by the use of a whole range of technical solutions, as well as modern materials. Low-Temperature Efficient Rubber CompoundThe tire tread is made from a rubber compound that has been formulated to suit the operating conditions of non-studded, friction-type winter models. Two-thirds of its composition is "silica". Moreover, its latest version, created on the basis of cryosilane, is used. This component allows the tread to maintain elasticity at very low ambient temperatures. Another feature is its increased resistance to heat. Thanks to this, the tire tread retains its properties at temperatures above 0 degrees Celsius, which gives it additional versatility. In turn, the ability to maintain elasticity at an optimal level over a wide temperature range allows the tire to demonstrate excellent handling and grip on slippery, icy winter and wet surfaces in spring. Multifunctional sipes in the shoulder areasThe tread shoulder areas contain many sipes. Due to a number of design features, these elements perform a wide range of functions. In contact with the road surface, they form numerous edges that improve grip on icy surfaces. Inside the lamellas there are special cavities, which, due to their drop-like shape, dry the contact spot, sucking water from the road surface. Improved slashplaning resistance Another design feature of the shoulder blocks is the shape of their transverse walls. It is zigzag and contains several sharp teeth. This allows them to easily penetrate the sheet of slush, breaking it. This noticeably speeds up the process of self-cleaning of the tread from foreign inclusions, which, in turn, improves traction under adverse road conditions. Increased sipe densityGrip properties on an icy surface are provided by a high sipe density. These miniature tread elements together form several thousand sharp edges that easily penetrate the water film on the ice surface, or simply cling to dense snow. In this case, it is worth noting the location of the lamellae almost at a right angle. This significantly increases the efficiency of their work when braking and accelerating. This feature is enhanced by the significant length of the lamellas in the shoulder areas and the central longitudinal rib. Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

On 3 of my cars (sedan, station wagon, crossover) for the previous 4 years, I deliberately took this particular model, because. price / quality suits 100%. With reinforced sidewall XL. The front wheel hit the curb, the edge of the disk bent, but there was not even a hernia.

Pros
  • Good tires, soft, quiet. For a city in which snow is cleaned and salt is sprinkled, it is generally an ideal option for the winter.
Cons
  • There are no disadvantages for tires without studs.

The rubber is of decent quality; it is quiet on the highway, much like summer tires. Very little braking on icy surfaces. Only turn on if your automobile has anti-lock brakes. Can't stop in time for the light without anti-lock brakes. It handles well in the wintertime. In sub-zero conditions, ice should be avoided.

Pros
  • Consider the cost, how it handles on dry and wet surface, and how far it stops on the road. Very nice equilibrium.
Cons
  • Poor quality control; a sprue was left on one of the 2022-produced rubbers.

Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

This tire type crushes the competition when it comes to durability, performance, and longevity. It drives well in the city and on the highway and does its responsibilities with ease.

Pros
  • The car handles predictably and smoothly, with low noise levels, average wear resistance, and a reasonable price.
Cons
  • did not disclose

The right product for me, there were no problems.

Excellent resilience to wear and low level of noise - Because of this, I forgive her any and all faults! Below are some advantages: Two operational seasons, ten thousand kilometers traveled, and an 8 mm wear indication. This is the rubber for you if you are a quiet rider who enjoys a comfortable ride because it is both very soft and very quiet. A little dreary after -20 Negatives: There is not enough traction on ice, therefore you need to be more careful. The most significant disadvantage is…

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

When ordering, I was worried about what year the tires would be brought, but I was not upset, everything was fine, the tires turned out to be 2022

Pros
  • Good tires, I've been riding for three seasons and I'm completely satisfied with it. Bought another set for a second car.
Cons
  • No

Terrible purchase, only wasted money.

today -3, sleet, could not move, slips, had to go by subway. slippery after NORDMAN RS. I won’t buy a NORDMAN RS2 for the second time, I will look for a tread pattern with straight grooves, not broken ones like the RS2

I can't believe I paid for it, the quality is disgusting.

Hello there, before I started using Nokian tires, I had been using Cordiant tires, which are a great budget-friendly option. This season, I made the conscious decision to purchase tires from the more affordable market sector; nonetheless, the best price-quality reviews of the Nokian Nordman rs2 tires are a letdown. Only Nokian is left after the production of winter tires. Driving in the winter is hazardous, so you should avoid doing so until the snow and ice have melted. The tire slips and…

Pros
  • A well-known manufacturer's winter tires ended up looking more like summer tires; the only difference is that they carry the winter moniker. 1. You are able to drive on a level road that has been rolled. 2. The snow porridge is rowed in an effective manner 3. Reputable name brings comfort to the heart
Cons
  • This tire is the absolute worst example I've ever seen. 1. Riding through fluffy snow can be nerve-wracking, but there is a method to dokata after stopping. 2. There is a 100% chance of slipping on any kind of ice, regardless of whether it is thickly sprinkled or covered in sand. 3. It is impossible to come to a stop on ice, like a cow on ice on these tires; it is impossible to slow down on ice. 4. Snow and ice during the thaw, along with mountainous terrain, creates a hellish environment for these tires. The automobile is difficult to forecast.

The Soviet pros taught me to ride on the same tires all year round, and I don't enjoy tire fitting or going off-road in the country, so a few years ago I opted for Velcro or all-weather tires so that I could ride throughout the summer. The Nokian tires were highly recommended to me, and I couldn't agree more. However, I upgraded to all-season tires by purchasing Matador Adhesa mp61s. These tires are quieter than summer models but are more comfortable year-round. However, we closed on the sale…

Pros
  • Couldn't locate
Cons
  • Extremely noisy, with dead spots in the walls that might be filled with rubber sponges for dishwashing in place of rubber foam. The car starts to float after 110 km/h, so call a cab. The lack of edge rounding on their tread (the tread on the sides terminates with a smooth edge) allows them to glide effortlessly over the track. We complain that cars have bad noise, and these tires are to blame because they are stuffed into new cars at car dealerships, ruining the impression of new good cars and frustrating automakers who do not expect anyone to put such terrible noisy tires (they are not sold anywhere else except 2022 and northern China).

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

Ideal for urban winters in the southern regions. Every day I drive about 25 km in the city and the same amount on the highway. In all modes rubber behaves perfectly! Has some pros: Excellent, predictable handling on wet roads and slush. Asphalt with frost is also no problem. Very quiet and soft. Much quieter than my summer Dunlors. Well balanced. Adequate price. Has some cons: Not specifically identified. Worse, of course, on bare ice, but this is not a spike.

Good value for money, I recommend it.

An ordinary Velcro with standard qualities and a satisfactory level of comfort; this is just what I was looking for. Got pros: Ideal tires for driving in the city as well as on the highway when the weather is nice, silent (at a speed of 140 kilometers per hour you can hear everything but the wheels, the sensation of hovering over the track), soft, and pleasant, with good control of drift; this is a bonus. With these drawbacks: On a wet track, it can inspire reckless confidence, and then lose…

I like it, thank you for the quality product.

Rubber is great for urban areas (and is widely utilized in Hong Kong and the surrounding area). It functions normally in slushy weather and on slippery roads. You need to exercise extreme caution on ice and fresh snow. There is an instant, perceptible drop in grip, and in certain cases, the wheels spin violently (and this is in a foreign automobile, which may or may not have anti-slip systems). My impressions are based solely on a comparison to the Michelin X-Ice 3 rubber I was using before…

Pros
  • Good traction on both dry and wet asphalt, no issues with wet porridge, and a reasonable degree of assurance when driving in a rut. Calm and subtle.
Cons
  • She feels out of place in the wintry environment (be extra cautious when driving on fresh snow and ice).
