Rubber is great for urban areas (and is widely utilized in Hong Kong and the surrounding area). It functions normally in slushy weather and on slippery roads. You need to exercise extreme caution on ice and fresh snow. There is an instant, perceptible drop in grip, and in certain cases, the wheels spin violently (and this is in a foreign automobile, which may or may not have anti-slip systems). My impressions are based solely on a comparison to the Michelin X-Ice 3 rubber I was using before. It makes more of a racket, is slightly more robust, and performs marginally worse in slush than it does on snow and ice.
