Works, fast, looks good

Works great with my MSI board, this RAM is very easy to install. The RGB looks fantastic, matches my case perfectly. I recommend to everyone.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Didn't work as planned.

On the new Asus Z390 board they didn't load, tried XMP and XMP2 but still didn't load. I contacted support but they were slow between messages and just not worth the time. It's a bummer because it's a nice thing at a good price for speed (on paper). --- To make sure the MB is ok, put in some Corsair and it worked on the first try. ---

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • So-so

Didn't help, very nice

I'll update when the second batch arrives. With two sticks installed my computer wouldn't boot, tried them on another computer with the same problem. as I tried one stick after the other. It didn't boot to flash drive A, it booted to flash drive B, but it didn't go past the 2400MHz memory error boot cycle. Looks very good though, I haven't had any issues with the group's products in the past so I suspect this was an isolated issue but I'm waiting to get my replacement set.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Ram Runs at rated speed if other devices support it.

Works seamlessly with the XMP profile on my Asus ROG Maximus Formula XI as well as my 9900k at 5GHz, all cores use 1.3V on the CPU. I've uploaded the Thaiphoon report and CPU-Z memory report in images so you can see the data for yourself without having to google it. As a final note, it works great with the Asus AURA software that manages the RGB aspect. I also downloaded his picture to my computer. I hope this helps anyone interested in good quality RAM.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Secret

Great RGB RAM, terrible software.

I paid $185 since it was 4000 speed and my Z390 Gigabyte Gaming X supported it (doesn't have it, 3600MHz is the best I can get, most likely it's not the RAM's fault but a lower fee). The price is obviously too high considering what the 3200 and 3600 16GB kits currently cost. Potential deal breaker: RGB software (if you're using dynamic lighting, why not?) consumes over 10% of your CPU, all at 9700K. This is a major disadvantage as my AiO RGB software barely uses any CPU. The choice is yoursโ€ฆ

Extremely powerful, fast, productive

Extremely heavy, large, fully enclosing metal heatsink (winged shape requires more than usual heatsink clearance. Quality is excellent, good standard LED chain effect. 100% Samsung B-Die Me can confirm that based on the timings and clock speeds I've been able to achieve XMP enabled, prepare to manually tweak the sticks The profiles are documented below: 39 1.2V Supported module timing at 1066.7MHz : 15-15-15-35 1.2V Supported module timing at 933.3MHz: 13-13 -13-30 1.2V Supported mode timingโ€ฆ

AMD Ryzen 5 2400G or Ryzen 3 2200G?

If you're building a system around one of the Raven Ridge processors, then you need this memory! Works fast and easily works with both processors. How do I know? Because I just built both systems. I first built a 2400G with Night Hawk memory (2 x 8GB sticks) and it worked great. Then I built a 2200G and used some Corsair memory and I kept getting frequent BSODs. So I installed Night Hawk memory from 2400G and BAM! it just worked like a charm. Lesson learned. Another set of Night Hawk memoriesโ€ฆ

Don't blame TeamGroup

If the memory is not in the QVL list on the motherboard website, other options are better. I've had startup issues and occasional crashes due to some incompatibilities when using 4 RAM slots. After the mob update, I decided to try a new bios. Pay attention to reviews. Don't blame Team Group if the RAM isn't motherboard supported, do your own research. Other than the above, they look really good, sync with everything easily, and are recognized by every app I run with them have performed. Forโ€ฆ

Extremely heavy, large, fully enclosing metal heatsink (winged shape requires more than usual heatsink clearance. Quality is excellent, good effect of the standard LED chain on the timings and clock speeds I was able to achieve. One thing about this, be warned , if you buy 2 sets of these for 4 full DIMMs the JEDEC profiles are huge in their variance If you are going without XMP you will have to tune your sticks manually 2400MHz is the upper limit of the JEDEC 2000.0MHz XMP enabled module clock
