That's a bit of nonsense. I ordered the recommended one and it was wrong. And removing the chip is not so easy. Simply order HP. Fraud.

Works great, just annoying that the low ink notification doesn't go away because the chip is from an old toner cartridge. but worth saving $$$

This is a good replacement rather than spending a lot more dollars on an HP cartridge, although I'm not sure how the mileage (page count) differs between the two. Transferring a chip from an old one to a new one is not that difficult.

The instructions were good. Installed without problems and error messages. You should search for Chip Transfer on YouTube. Transfer the HP chip from the old cartridge to the new one. 8 pages printed and everything is fine! Many Thanks. I will update again in a few months.

The print quality of this cartridge is great, but there are a few big annoyances: 1) Replacing the chip with your old toner cartridge is quite difficult. It took me about 30 tries before I could push the chip into the right position. I'm quite a skilled person and used to build my own computers, but installing this chip was difficult.
