SEEMS GREAT for power and hand tools

I use one or two of these almost every day. Three sizes for many needs. They work great and the plastic doesn't seem to wear out. And since I spend about half my time looking for tools, no matter the task or how carefully I stow the tools, this bright orange makes finding them a lot easier. A good thing.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • It's ok

Great set, great price

My first dead hammers. I bought these to mount a rear bracket on a 10.5" sterling rear axle. Not realizing how big a hammer I would need for the job, I found this set. Tried all 3, a 3lb rear wheel was the best. If you are doing the same as me and only want to buy 1 hammer, buy the 3lb hammer. But I have no regrets buying this set.

Great tool but you can get the same at Harbor Freight.

Excellent product. However, it is almost identical to the Harbor Freight Tool except for the traces of molding. These are hammers. While I love the Tekton, it's clear that this hammer is made in the same factory as the cheaper models that do the same thing. a hammer. I'm returning my Tekton Hammer because the Harbor Freight model is almost a third cheaper.

I've been using it for a year and there is a crack.

A year later they separated. I contacted them on their website and a new one is on the way. It took them about 2 minutes to reply. There is an option on the tecton website to upload your photo and there were no questions asked. The only answer I got was that a new one is on the way. GREAT! There are no hoops to jump into. Definitely staying with tecton if they continue like this.

Suitable for smooth/soft surfaces but NOT hard and durable

is a nice bold hit, but don't worry if you plan to use it in masonry/outdoors. I bought it specifically for setting/aligning blocks for a wall I'm building and it took about 1 day before the hammer surface wore off. Pooh. I like the hammer's weight, but I think I'll have to toss the money on an east wing or something well made for handling rough stone surfaces.

Pros
  • It's OK!
Cons
  • Not the best

Good hammers match Hand tools

I have used several other Tekton tools and even given warranties on them so when I placed my order I was confident that they would be of good quality. Hammers are exactly what you'd expect from a series of final blows. I haven't used the smallest one very much, but I've used the two large ones to chip off a lot of rusty brake and suspension parts. You have never let me down. The plastic coating lasts and should last for quite a while. Tekton are some of my favorite tools to buy online as they…

Good hammers at a great price

Sometimes you just have to tap something to make it move. A steel hammer will damage the item, while a rubber hammer will deflect too much. These hammers are just right. Three different sizes for the same price as a hammer from another manufacturer. There may be applications where these hammers are not good enough and it is better to use an expensive one. But I didn't come across any. The plastic feels pretty solid, if not indestructible. On one I see a scratch from the end of the wooden pegs I

Great product and price

Great quality and price for this set of finishers. I'm a heavy equipment field engineer and buy them to keep in my truck. For the price they have met my expectations so far. They hold up well and feel good. I use them to drive in gaskets, pry out loose bolts by hitting a wrench or pry bar and to fasten parts in tight spaces, they hold up well and they don't come loose with pieces of rubber like the popular Chinese brand. I love that they don't leave marks on the parts, there's nothing worse…

Really nice set of jackhammers

I've seen jackhammers start and end their careers on the same day. I think some people just can't handle the forces that are thrown at them. The main problem they face is the internal steel components breaking through the plastic mold. I know people who use them for a year or more in demanding applications where they have a habit of replacing them every few months. When using "budget" jackhammers (or "budget" tools in general) they agree that the quality, fit, finish and hand feel are abysmal…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
