🔧 TEKTRO TRP Basic Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kits Review

This is a basic bleed kit, really everything you need to bleed your brakes. There's no need for a plastic bottle with a hanger and a second syringe, plus extra gadgets and supplies you'll never use. I spent about $14 and got everything I needed to bleed my brakes.

I was able to bleed the brakes with this. I have a lot of experience with hydraulic bike brakes and was able to get the kit to work. However, the kit does not include all of the fittings and parts needed for a proper, leak-free installation. And the instructions are unclear and somehow wrong. It would be nice if the kit and instructions were designed by someone who actually knows how to bleed bike brakes.

I have bled many hydraulic systems; But the MTB braking system I was repairing didn't lend itself to the design logic of the reservoir and this tool kit. As some others have advised; Hoses regularly pop out of the bleed ports and once the mess is cleaned up you'll run out of hands to get this tool kit up and running. I should have just used my auto bleed caliper on a stock caliper that connects to the brake lever inlet. Have plenty of fluid going through the system before feeding/bleeding…
