One of the raffia gardens on the market, but.

This is one of the best cages out there but the inside isn't perfectly finished so you'll have to sand it down a bit or it will ruin your camera bag.

Rugged protection... and VERY well made!

Once you get the padding strips right they will fit just fine. Seems to offer excellent protection in the event of an unfortunate fall... or maybe if your tripod tips over. !

I don't trust it. on Camera & Photo

Nice cage but I don't trust the sliding door on the back. Snapping and holding with a spring-loaded bearing is not enough for me. I want to be 100% sure my camera is safe.

The flash mod is easy to remove

I bought this case to install the flash mod but it slides off by itself with no problem. Otherwise it is a very nice and well made case. Just be careful, the back cover can also slip off and you could lose your camera.

Doesn't work with Mac Lens Mod - Deal Killer

This is a solid case that works well. It fits my Hero 9 Black snugly and I feel more comfortable strapping the camera to my helmet. HUGE con: This case will NOT work with Mac Lens Mod. When the mod is attached it will not slide into the case. The lens mod cannot be attached when the GoPro is in the case. BIG design flaw. Also, it's almost impossible to put noise killers (fluffy pads to dampen wind noise) on top of the microphones. The camera does not slide into the housing when attached. I'm…

Vertical/horizontal alignment, strength and right size!

I am impressed with this cage for GoPro. The dimensions and tolerances are very accurate and fit my Hero5 perfectly. I didn't try to leave him or anything. I just wanted something more rigid than a plastic frame and the ability to switch from landscape to portrait (vertical) for IGTV videos. It is also designed so that nothing interferes with the use of the filter. I use a Telesin ND16 filter, which I carry with me almost all the time. Beautiful to look at, useless.

If this cage was a better fit for my GoPro I would probably use it more often. But in this cage, the GoPro slides from side to side. Not only that, but the included finger mounts that screw to the bottom to make it compatible with GoPro mounts will NOT fit GoPro mounts. However, the 1/4 screw mount works. So if you want GoPro to use standard tripods and camera accessories, that's no problem. But then you scratch the bottom of the camera as there is nothing stopping the screw from making contact
