Pretty Good Product

Ordered this charge controller by mistake. Instead, I ordered an Outback. Then I changed my mind about panel wiring efficiency and retired this charge controller. I have no complaints. It's easy to install. Works as it should.

Does the job, but you'll work on it

Pros: - Works once you get the hang of installation - Key parts are well identified - Reasonable cost for a real MPPT charge controller Cons: - Virtually incomprehensible manual, clearly not written by someone who speaks English speaks as a first language. This is SO disappointing! - You kind of have to guess how it works due to poor management, so it takes much longer than necessary to install and troubleshoot. - It's much larger than it should be for its function. - It can get hot so you…

Does not work well in parallel with other controllers

I wouldn't use this controller if you plan to use it in parallel with another MPPT controller. I connected this controller and a MakeSkyBlue 60A MPPT to the same battery. In the early morning during bulk loading, everything works as expected. However, once the battery reaches float voltage (I set it to 13.8V), MakeSkyBlue tries to go into absorption/equalization mode (shoots out 14.6V), but this controller for some reason recognizes that the bank is fully charged. , skips the…
