I bought this set based on the description that the chopping board/serving platter is clear glass. I looked at the photos and saw that those on the wooden table used for serving were perfectly legible. I wanted to do a home project with back side etching. But I can't, you won't be able to see it because of the texture above.

We purchased these based on the description "Clear Tempered Glass". They are NOT transparent, they are matte with a pattern. We needed them to avoid scratching when displaying a collection of stones on a wooden shelf. We expected "CLEAN" so as not to disrupt the display of the tree below. Wrong, wrong, wrong. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I had to replace my plastic cutting boards because dog hair was stuck to it and almost impossible to remove (we have long haired dogs and their hair everywhere! ) I was hoping to find them would not be textured - they are, but they are easy to clean. They're HEAVY so I'm sure they'll last a long time. I used 3 oblong ones, don't know what to use the round one for, but I'll probably find a use for it one day.

They appear to be of good quality and have a nice textured finish. When you do this, all you have to do is turn the cutting board over, remove the silicone feet, and reattach them to the textured side. You now have a smooth side and they should work fine for you.)

I have used these on my black worktop and they fit perfectly as decor on either side of the hob. They can still see through the countertop so they don't ruin any of my countertop's beauty. Great cutting board. I use them at parties to protect the countertop while adding decor by placing food plates for a beautiful display. I plan to order a few more sets.

The textured surface makes cleaning difficult. If not fully submerged in soapy water, they will appear to stain. The smallest of them cracked without reason when standing on a smooth-surfaced slab. The stove is completely cold and not burning. We left the house and on our return found that it had shattered into small sharp splinters all over the surface of the stove. I ordered them and when they arrived the location of their packaging in a large box containing several items (they were on the floor with no padding or protection underneath) caused them to die. The company grabbed it right away and I use it on my counter and in various places in the kitchen. They're nice and low so opening and closing the microwave door doesn't interfere, and the pieces are dense and thick. I would order again. This worktop is NOT heat resistant as advertised. I placed the small pot on the rack after removing it from the microwave. The top notch was NOT included and that was cool. I placed the countertop on the stove to protect the burners. A few minutes after the casserole was placed on top, it literally exploded, scattering shards and broken glass up to 8 feet away (as measured by my husband).
