Great for glowing brass, although that last bottle was thick.

I use this as an indicator of brass glowing. I've been using it for a while and it works great for this purpose. The last one I got was very bulky. Even after shaking until my hands hurt, it was an odd consistency with bits and pieces. It still works for the claimed app and doesn't seem to have much effect, hence the high rating.

750 Tempilaq good for temperature and humidity

Brass cartridge glow kits contain Tempilaq 425F. To properly anneal brass, you must be absolutely certain that the necks will heat up to 750F within a second or two. The 750 degree Tempilaq is the only way to be sure you have the correct anneal time before you anneal the rest of your brass. I highly recommend purchasing this material if you want to anneal your brass.

Check the product as soon as it arrives!

nonsense! My fault for not checking in upon arrival. I just made room for overload and waited 3 weeks for my cool down. When I opened the bottle, it was thick, hard goo. The threads of the bottle and the shaft of the brush were thick with dried paint. Old? Second hand? Incorrectly sealed? Who knows, but no shake will fix this hot mess. I even slowly added some thinner in a feeble attempt at a quick setup, but to no avail. I know a lot of people who like this stuff and I would like to write a…

It works great, but be sure to buy a bottle of diluent with it.

Evaporates in the bottle. I've used it two or three times and literally applied small dots of Tempilaq to the glowing brass, about 15 dots total. The bottle is now half full, not because I used that much, but because it quickly runs together when I open the bottle. Buy thinner and refresh your bottle here and there. Also keep the mouth of the bottle very clean. Otherwise, you will have to break the cap from dried tempilac that has accumulated on the cap and neck of the bottle. Yes, however, it…
