🔧 Tenma 217936 Soldering Iron Replacement: Enhanced for SEO Review

The ceramic rod that the tips sit on broke when trying to install a replacement tip. It looks like the tip is glued to the stem and is almost impossible to remove. The handle of the device also gets very hot.

I have had the same Tenma soldering station for about five years now. However, I only had about 6 or 8 hours of use and the cartridge in the pen failed. Not a good deal as the pen is short lived and as another commenter said the nibs get stuck in the pen. I hope this replacement soldering iron will last longer. Had to buy a soldering iron or throw away the $100 soldering station. My next stop will be Weller.

I do not believe this is a Tenma original part. While properly plugged in and working, it doesn't get as hot as the other (all gray and black) Tenma irons.
