Works great. The only thing is when I add this to my soda stream it almost seems to get stuck. As mentioned earlier it's hard to tell if a bottle is properly carbonated if too little of the soda cap reaches the water when too much water squirts out over the location during carbonation. It takes a little getting used to, but when filled with cold water, it cools down wonderfully for hours, even in a hot car. The lid also keeps it snugly closed so the water stays carbonated.

Haven't used it for hot dishes so not sure what they mean by transparency. I use this item for my soda stream, I had to replace one of my old plastic bottles and my main complaint has always been that the plastic bottles didn't keep the drink cold. Now with this child he solves all my problems. I have a great durable container that holds soda very well and keeps my drinks ice cold all day. SOOOO worth buying.

As expected, nice aluminum bottle. The first two times I used it, it was much better than plastic bottles. But the next 3 times I put it in the SodaStream it got stuck. And it's just about stuck because I don't want to break anything. I'll do some research to find out how, but I'm thirsty and sad. OKAY I've found this sometimes happens with all bottles and the solution is to squeeze the bottle and then the bottle comes out. Great bottle for chilling water but now it gets stuck every time.

It stays cool, is dishwasher safe, has no weird taste/odor and fits in a Soda Stream machine but can't easy to remove (I only use it after a week in the car as I'm afraid it will get stuck) like a regular bottle and it's harder to fill. I wouldn't buy it again as I've found I don't use it with the car at all now.
