loses connection to the monitors

I mainly use this for building PCs in our meeting room at work. We used to have an old KVM that isn't compatible with any of the newer DP or HDMI unless there's a converter to plug into the analogue connection (usually the blue ends). Now that I've switched to this KVM, I have to keep turning the monitor off and on again or restarting the PC (which erases all the work I've done on the PC up to that point). Disappointment is probably the word for this article.

Using Logitech software with this device

Logitech keyboard and mouse control software cannot be used in pass-through mode. Logitech gaming keyboard and mouse work in standard mode. To use Logitech software, you must disable pass-through and use a powered USB hub connected to the device's USB port to connect your keyboard and mouse.

Didn't work best in external components

Two different computers with DisplayPort video and a Mac with a Thunderbolt to DisplayPort cable and this KVM switch didn't work for either of them. In all three cases, the monitor turned off every few seconds. The monitor certainly works well when connected directly to one of the three computers, but not through the KVM. I sent a message to the company's tech support and received no response at all.

FINALLY a working DP KVM for my 32:9 5k monitor

I have a 5k 32:9 ultrawide monitor and 4 computers that need to use it. I've had connectivity issues since purchasing this monitor as only Display Port and USB-C support 5K resolution. This product was exactly what I needed and the FIRST (of three purchased) DisplayPort KVM that I was able to use with no problems. It was also the cheapest - I am very happy with this product.

It doesn't work, the display signal is not supported.

Unlike the previous version of HDMI, this version of DP has serious disadvantages. It does not support active signal to displays. When you switch a display, the connection is lost, causing the GPU to disconnect and the displays to reconnect. This can be very harmful to your graphics card. I do not recommend buying this product unless you want to ruin your display or graphics card. The same goes for the mouse and keyboard, they just lose connection.
