Things to Consider Under Computer Accessories and Peripherals

Workflow.2 . The case is braided like coax, so good luck trying to get what you want; this thing is out of control.3. For $10 less, there are black cables that don't have the problems mentioned above.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Some Cons

I wish I had known about this cable before

. I was just told by a professional photographer that this is the cable that connects his camera to his computer. I ordered it as soon as I heard about it and have now found that I enjoy shooting in the studio, connected to my laptop and Lightroom. Original camera cable. Jerkstopper is not required.

Pros
  • . Finally bought.
Cons
  • . No form required.

Fuji X-T2 tethering perfection!

This is the cable to buy when connecting a Fuji X-T2. The L-shaped cable does not allow you to put the camera down without straining the input connector. I prefer the bright orange color of this cable as it provides a visual reminder to everyone on set not to trip over this cable. I don't use the jerk stopper, just the cable. The length is long and it rolls up easily for storage.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No power

FITS Nikon D850 mount

Full disclosure, I just received the cable and have not used it yet. I currently have a different Pro Tether cable for my Nikon D610, so I have no reason to believe this cable will work any differently. The only thing I noticed is that this cable is significantly thicker than the other one I have. First impressions are wow, it's solid but I can see it can be problematic when moving around but we'll see. The main point I wanted to make was regarding some of the other reviews I originally sawโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Perfect for connecting my camera to my laptop.

These mini LCDs lie. You know, I know, we all know. I also know that the cable that came with my camera to connect it to my computer is too short. This cable, at least the 15 foot cable I bought, was the perfect length. I can shoot in the studio and the result will appear on a big big screen to see every detail. No more "That mini screen preview looked amazing!" only to later download it to your computer and see a blurry disappointment. Seriously, I love it every time I can get this thing outโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • No

Excellent cable with a significant nuance

Works well with Nikon d810. Get the jerk plug. I've used it without and the plug keeps slipping out. I suspect the weight might have something to do with it, but without stoppers, tying becomes a real chore.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • No instructions

High-quality tether cable

I needed to connect my 5D Mark IV to Capture One on my MacBook Pro and it was just what I needed. Excellent quality and orange color makes it highly visible on set so you don't trip over it. The transfer rate is very high, there is practically no delay between the recording and the display on the screen. I was able to use the strain relief that originally came with the camera, so I didn't have to order an extra jerk stopper.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Avoid this cable! Loose USB-3 miniport

Damn! I finally figured out what my problem was when I lost my modem connection. That stupid cable! The miniport is too thin, so it always vibrates, and if you add weight to the cable, you lose the connection. I thought I wasn't going to put it in tight enough. I'm pretty sure because of all this I damaged my camera's connector and spent $400 to fix my camera before the fucking shoot! That cable cost me God knows how much. avoid it The first photo shows another USB cable connected, it's flushโ€ฆ

  • Good build

The cable is too thick and the plug is too big for the D800

UPDATE May 2015 - another star I had problems almost from the start when Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 stopped the camera after a couple of times detected hrs. Over time, the incidents became more frequent and longer, especially after I started using a new laptop. I blamed the laptop and software updates. The Tether Tools cable was worn out, never used outside of the studio and used with strain relief on both the camera and computer sides. Last week I finally tried using the Nikon UC-E14 OEM cable

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Secret
