It works! USB cable

I connect this to my Canon 5DS, everything works as intended. I've used other cables in the past and have found this one to be durable, thick and stay connected to my camera even if someone steps on it or pulls it at odd angles. I recommend this to anyone who shoots a rope.

Pros
  • Cables and connections
Cons
  • No power

industry standard. Best Computer Accessories & Peripherals

No wonder Tether Pro cable tie tools are the industry standard. I have two for each port my cameras use. Whether you're using your camera as a streaming device via USB or as a photo modem, they're solid and reliable.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Questionable Purchase for Seniors

High bitrate for RAW files

Most of my work is fashion and beauty photography, working with models, hairdressers, make-up artists, designers, stylists, etc. Tethering allows you to see images almost in real time of each image, so full-screen display speed is an important factor. My current camera is the Nikon D850, which shoots lossless compressed RAW files averaging 47MB in size. Since the USB cable is the only variable, the transfer speed is up to six seconds. With this Tether Tools cable, you can go to full screen mode

Pros
  • Computer accessories and peripherals
Cons
  • Not fashionable

If you are looking at this product you are probably trying to connect a camera. These wires are great. Most of the time they work like a charm. They're not the cheapest, but when working with large files, quality cables are a must.

Pros
  • USB cable
Cons
  • Not bad

Does not work with USB cables

I bought a brand new Canon 5DS R and this brand new cable did not fit. I followed the troubleshooting steps on the Tether Tools website but it still didn't work.

Pros
  • Cable transfer only. Not designed for charging.
Cons
  • Something else

Tested with computer accessories and peripherals

If you're looking at this product you're probably trying to tether your camera. These wires are great. Most of the time they work like a charm. They're not the cheapest, but when working with large files, quality cables are a must.

Pros
  • Available in bright orange and black, non-reflective
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

slightly better than the best in Cables & Accessories

The cable itself is solid, the connection to the camera is only slightly better than the straight version. The real problem lies primarily in the use of this type of technology; USB is a terrible connection, it must be a screw or something. Try not to even touch it unless you are in the studio and attaching it very carefully, it's guaranteed to bend and break.)

Pros
  • Easier connection between computer and camera
Cons
  • Big and bulky
