Will not dissolve at 78 degrees

I bought a gel based feeder hoping it would dissolve better than hard/chalky (maybe calcium carbonate?). I'm glad my fish aren't picky and I've been gone for a long time. This thing didn't resolve at all. I will not buy again.

Not my favorite weekend feeder

I'm not crazy about this feeder. It says Five Days Meal, but it's big and hasn't fallen apart. My fish didn't care either. It made my tank cloudy so I took it out after 10 days and it made a huge mess. Torn to pieces. I ended up having to clean the entire tank

Not good for fish and aquatic life

I used two on a five day trip and when I came back everything I started was still there. I didn't remove the film on one and the film was removed on the other. About 80% of the equipment remained between them. I don't have the packaging they came in, but the food slice may have had to be removed from the small container they came in. Pyramid type products with temporary food release have worked quite well so far.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

They Lived for Fish & Aquatic Pets

I think it depends on your fish. We put in half a slice for 2 fish before going on vacation for 4 days. The tiny pieces looked pricked when we got back but they were alive so I guess it worked. I left it to see what happens, it was there for 3 weeks with no change. Over time it turns whitish on the outside but doesn't dissolve, which is strange to me. I am deleting this. I have no problems with cloudy water. So I think it worked, but I think my fish was just starving and didn't eat it.
