The Open Toe Free Motion Spring Foot gives clear visibility when doing free motion quilting or embroidery. Because of the open front, you can easily do stippling or follow a design in the fabric. The spring action keeps the fabric from lifting with the needle as the stitch is being formed which helps eliminate thread breakage with specialty or heavier threads. Be sure to use the appropriate needle for the thread you are using. Broke after a few uses

Worked fine a few times. The rod snaps onto the needle lever to create a broken spring, which is of little use, but I think it was cheap.

Substitute - Sew

Item was shipped quickly. This is a replacement for the same one I ordered/received in February. The metal arm of the original foot broke after just a few projects. I hope there isn't a similar problem with this new one. (Previous Review) Item arrives quickly and appears to be working. However, this is a replacement order. April 7, 2020 I ordered this and in June it was broken. I have ordered the same product five times since 2019. The metal "arm" broke twice. The product lasted twice for about

Fits Viking Quilt Designer

Very happy with this freewheel foot! Great value compared to Viking dealer prices at their branded stops. Works great with my Quilt Designer. I owe a debt of gratitude to the previous reviewer for being spot on for quilt designers. Easy to install and works great! Delivery was fast but incomplete packaging although there was no damage.

Not for Viking Emerald 203

Viking models very expensive so I was glad this is listed for my car. Well, my machine chopped it up. I went to the dealer for information and was told that this particular model of Husqvarna sewing machine cannot use the spring loaded presser foot. Damned. I don't have time to return the parts so I'll put them in the recycler. Ask your dealer first.

I believe it's true. You get what you pay for.

This is my fourth purchase of this free motion feather quilting foot. They keep breaking. I ordered another one from the same company because I was in the middle of a quilting project and wanted to move on. The metal bar that attaches the presser foot to the machine broke, causing the fabric to drag when free motion quilting. I hope you can see how it is broken in the photo on the left.
