Sticks to Vinyl - Sewing

I was hoping this would help when sewing vinyl material for my bag projects. but this thing is no better than a regular sewing foot. it sticks and snags and you don't even get the stitch length. Better find ours which is really teflon coated!

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

anti-stick mine a. Best in Sewing Machine Parts & Accessories

I hate it. How serious. The foot is supposed to be non-stick, but it's just a plastic foot. This stretched my marine vinyl which I sewed and I had to abandon the whole project and start over. If you're looking for a true non-stick coating, DO NOT get this.

Not really. - Spare parts and accessories for sewing machines

No non-stick coating. I bought it to sew on faux leather and it was a waste of time. The foot sticks to the skin and prevents it from going through the sewing machine. It seems that this is ordinary white plastic, not at all like Teflon. The foot also works with fabrics other than the regular/zig zag foot unless you require a non-stick coating which is why I gave it 2 stars.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

Just a shiny plastic leg

Doesn't fit Janome 11000SE, the hole in the leg isn't big enough, it doesn't fit and it's not intended for use on this machine at all. Also, it's not a Teflon foot, just a shiny plastic that actually sticks to the vinyl more than my metal foot. In both photos it is the Janome Ultra Glide True Teflon foot on the left and right.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some little things

Complete rubbish on sewing machine parts and accessories

This is not a real teflon sewing foot. I bought it to sew stretch vinyl/PVC. I sew with this fabric all the time and decided to buy a teflon foot for better gliding and this foot is TERRIBLE. It is made of very shiny and sticky plastic. However, when it fits properly on my Juki machine, it sticks to my fabric. This created more friction than the regular metal foot that came with the machine. The fabric rolls up and doesn't slip due to the texture of this foot. That was a waste of time and was…

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • thin

Works on some machines, not all.

Used this on a small leather item and it worked well. I have two short-shank machine tools: a Singer 5050 that I've had for a long time, and a Janome 5124 that I bought a few months ago. The foot sits well on the Singer. It attaches well to the Janome, but it's misaligned and doesn't fully fit the racks. I compared this leg to the legs that came with the machine and noticed that the Janome legs have the mounting bars slightly off-center. This is probably not a big deal for a small project, but…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
