Description of 🧡 TFBOY 1/4''' Quilting Patchwork Sewing Machine Presser Foot with Edge Guide for Low Shank Snap-On Singer, Brother, Babylock, Janome, Juki and More

Attached to the Quilting Foot is an Edge Guide to Help You Make a Perfect 1/4" Seam. This is a must when doing a lot of sewing with quarter inch seams. Especially in quilting, without this foot you may find it difficult to get seams to line up perfectly. Great for topstitching or attaching bias tape. Accurate reference marking on 3 sides of foot for visibility and accuracy. Single hole foot prevents fabrics from sinking into feed dogs,For all 7mm feed dog machines

Great tool

As a newbie to quilting, I struggled with precise 1/4 stitches. On my doll clothes, the seams are also 1/4, but the accuracy isn't that important. I found this important in a patchwork quilt! I bought this on the advice of some quilters and found it a lot easier to get a precise stitch than just following the markings on my machine's needle plate. I recommend it.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good

I love this thing. This just isn't possible if you like using French stitches. I'd really like to find one that has a needle slot instead of a hole so I can adjust needle position and make even tighter stitches. (If anyone has found one please post a comment on my review so I can catch it.) Seems versatile for a modern style quick release stock. I use it on my Singer Heavy Duty and on my Brother.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

The guide will bend and loosen on the foot during use.

When I received this foot it initially looked promising and was similar to other quarter inch feet. However, after sewing a few stitches, I found that the 1/4 inch guide was inaccurate and was actually slightly bent. So I had to bend it back to 1/4 inch. After some use, the lead began to loosen and dangle on the leg. I could still use it, but I'd rather it didn't get weaker and weaker. Next time I'll just spend the extra $10 and get a real brother with a 1/4" seam.

Pros
  • Decent performance
