Flawless Victory! - Internal Components

I had my trusty old Thermalright 120 Extreme lying around and thought I could save a decent amount of money on cooling solutions, If only I could find the right AM4 socket adapter and put my 120 Extreme on a Ryzen 2600. It was exactly what I was looking for and it worked great. The temperatures on this thing are amazing compared to the CPUs I used it on 7-8 years ago when I first got it. I'm very happy with the end result and this bad boy got me there. Even if the description doesn't list AM4…

Cons
  • Small Parts

I had an Archon SB-E X2 that I bought from Nan's Gaming Gear in 2013 that was used to build a 2011 Intel socket. This is a great cooler and being a fancy piece of metal it never loses functionality with age as long as the cold plate matches the CPU. Now in 2018 I was ready to build an AMD Ryzen 7 1700x system and found I had the perfect cooler but no mounting hardware. Nan is back to the rescue and this mounting hardware includes everything you need to perfectly mount the Archon on the AM4…

Great for an aging Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme on AM4

As many reviewers on this site and others have said, it takes a little longer to install than installing an onboard HSF for your CPU, but it's worth it definitely it. It took me just 15 minutes to remove the current heatsink I was using and install my trusty old Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme on an AMD 2600X on an Asus Prime-X470 Pro motherboard. a cutout on the back for the CPU heatsink area on the motherboard, this setup is pretty quick. You changed me in fifteen minutes. If I had to pull out

Pros
  • Item Pack Quantity: 1
