Poor Instructions: Test, Measure, and Inspect

I didn't like the manual instructions that came with it. They were terrible at leaving the meter on for more than ten minutes. After figuring it out, it seems to be working fine so far.

Item broke immediately after return: Guarantee

Immediately after receipt, the temperature hold button did nothing. Now it's everywhere, I've tried multiple lines and each of the 4 sensor inputs. Unfortunately it crashed after the return window. I'll probably take another one, but not this one

Reliable digital thermometer with thermocouple

Unit works well. Feels solid. Used supplied thermocouples with this and other brands with the same K-connector I would buy again if necessary. If the included case had room for thermocouples, that would be perfect. Definitely satisfied with the product.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Metal probe not working

Handy thermometer. All sensor cables are the same length, so you have to work in a small space to use multiple sensors at the same time in different environments. The metal sensor included in the kit does not work. However, I only noticed this after the return date. If you order this I will check the status of all sensors as well as slots once they arrive. Not a bad thermometer for the price, except for two things mentioned above.

Almost accurate and 5 star rating

I used this for subcooling and superheating in an AC housing unit. I also measured the temperature difference in each flow/return channel. I even measured my fridge and freezer. I definitely like the bulb thermocouple and don't like the probe wires. In general, the work is carried out almost exactly. Good enough for my taste. I was also working on an air conditioner and it was getting dark early now; So it has a backlight so you can see the temperature reading. I thought it was cool.

Buy the $10 version, it's not worth more.

Others sell the same meter with 4 probes instead of 5 for $10. Grab one of these instead as it doesn't cost any more. They don't have proper cold junction compensation, so accuracy is questionable. You need to let the device temperature stabilize at ambient temperature for a while to get closer to the correct reading. Min/max/avg also seems to show Kelvin instead of Fahrenheit for some readings. The average only works for 2 probes. The auto shut off also only lasts 3 minutes instead of the…
