An incredible design flaw that renders it unusable for some applications.

The drive screw is not as long as the shoulders! What a colossal design flaw. Here you can see me trying to pull out the bearing mounted on the end of the shaft. The screw is fully extended and the levers don't even engage the underside of the bearing. This puller will NOT work on bearings mounted closer than 10mm to the end of the shaft. But, hey, they saved 5 cents a unit by cutting the drive screw an inch.

Tricky-dicky!: Tools & Equipment

Bought and used to remove a cracked Cub Cadet crankshaft inner race after removing a stuck PTO. In the beginning it consisted of only two "legs". impractical to place evenly on both sides of the crank and center the puller. There was very little space between the seized bearing and the spacer behind it, so the tops of the legs struggled to get a grip while I fiddled with tightening the bolts to secure the position. installed correctly and the inner ring just slid off the crank like a cake! I…

Camber Bushing Removal

Love this item! I had a very stubborn camber bushing on my 1990 Bronco that rusted and wouldn't come loose. I even bought a very expensive hub puller designed for this specific application but the ears on the hub broke off so I was unlucky. I almost gave up and dismantled the tie rod to dismantle the ball joint, BUT! I was determined not to go that route because it is a real pain. That's where this thing comes in. With no ears to grip, I drilled slots on each side for the jaws to grip and…
