These filters have much less surface area than the originals, so the humidity in my house is much lower. The fan drives the air and there is virtually no resistance. They lasted about 5 times longer than real filters and weren't cheaper, a waste of money. In the attached image, the real Aircare filter is on the left. The break is on the right.

I would not waste my money again. I bought this thinking it was Aircare 1043 but it isn't. This is a generic drug. But that wouldn't bother me if it worked. I live in the cold highlands and need extra moisture. This filter struggled to keep it at 30% at home. A week later I ordered the goods by air and the problem was solved.

I have waited a while before writing this review to try the product. I have a large aircare humidifier. When I bought the humidifier it came with a factory filter and lasted exactly 60 days until I was reminded to change the filter. Filters of this brand lasted 21 days until the machine was registered for replacement. Disappointed that this product didn't last longer, I find it not to be of the quality described

These are not double wicks so won't last as long as Emerson's product. My AIRCARE hasn't made it through the 270 hours it sits and even the replacement wick on the AIRCARE 1043 Space Saver has hardened due to the mineral content. So the "Space Saver" lasted about 7 weeks, I expect this filter to last about half that time (about 64 versus 108 pleats). I live in PA. The pink color in the photo is a demineralizing liquid.

When I use these filters, the water in the humidifier becomes syrupy. Like the glue in the filters fell apart or something. The water is drained and replaced every week and watered once or twice a day. But after a week without a good cleaning, the water became disgusting and the filter fell apart. So my only conclusion is that the glue makes the water that way. I haven't had this problem with popular brand filters.
