Used a few times already, I feel the rubber has a good grip and fits well in the lids I use. In fact, it fits so well you almost need tools to remove it from the lids to clean. Not that this is a real complaint, but the covers that go onto the airlocks need to be removed. While everything is of the highest standard, it doesn't crack, break, flow.

Airlock and connector appear to be of good quality. However, the product description says "#6 food grade silicone stopper". When I got them they didn't look like silicone so I went to the manufacturer's website (The Vintage Shop) which says "Quality is comparable to silicone stoppers." I'm disappointed because I'm ordering because I know it is silicone.

I have bought this item twice. For months I couldn't understand why the corks would pop out of my liter jugs while the others stayed fine. When I compared the two corks, I found that one was significantly harder than the other. They look exactly the same and both are marked "Vintage Store #6" but they are not the same!
