Thule vs Oakley on Computers and Accessories

I originally bought an Oakley kitchen sink (review titled One Guy's Look) and really liked it. But over time I realized that I bought this Oakley for its looks and not for its functionality. This is a great pack and the friend I gave it to loves it! But this Thule is my backpack. If you happen to be the type who likes to keep everything in place and has a lot of organization, this pack is for you. For me, that's the biggest advantage compared to Oakley. Tulle looks cool too. The material feels…

this is the best general purpose/laptop backpack I've ever had

ok this is the best general purpose/laptop backpack I've ever had. For $100 you get a backpack that seems to last a lifetime. I regularly carry 50 pounds in this piece and it's extremely comfortable and not bulky at all. I put in a LARGE high end Lenovo laptop with a 17 inch screen plus a mechanical keyboard, random electronics and chargers, tons of clothes and then toss the shoes in the little pocket that makes up the front. I even saw a mate put 2 laptops in it. Then you have a piece of hard…

A must for frequent flyers!

Can't put it into words. I love everything about this backpack. After a year of using the backpack my company gave me to carry my massive Dell Inspiron laptop, I decided to try something new and hopefully better. Thule was aware of all the possible uses of backpacks when developing this gem. First the material. The fabric is smooth but shows no signs of wear after a month of use. The colors also indicate that the backpack is resistant to dust and dirt that usually collects when you put it on…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Light travel / college / day trips. Good for all needs

Pros: Comfortable to wear all day - Adjusts well to balance the weight of days worth of stuff. DURABLE MATERIAL - Stain-resistant and liquid-resistant, will not tear easily. Large side compartment for drinks x2 - thermos for coffee and water (large hydroflask) is not a problem and does not wobble. Well-padded PC compartment. Excellent pocket placement. Great for on the go. Separates fees, toiletries, clothing, documents and small items like pocket knives and sunglasses. There's also a space…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Compatibility

Great backpack for students.

Bought this to use as my everyday college/weekend book bag. It fits perfectly and looks great. I can easily fit a laptop, a tablet, a few binders, a 1" binder, a textbook, and a small lunch box. I've had it for about a month and am probably carrying between 5 and 15 pounds depending on the day. Pros: - Looks sturdy but is still modern and sophisticated - Has loads of room for stuff - The "pocket" is actually great for a jacket, newspaper or an umbrella. Durable material and quality. A decent…

Decent backpack, the best in bags, cases and cases

I use my work backpack as a mobile office and often commute to work by bike or motorbike. I carry several pens and pencils, three key rings, three small panniers with various tools and keys, a laptop, a phone and a paper journal, and often other books and papers. I also need a place to throw extra things like a jacket, sweater, hat and gloves. This backpack is well designed and solidly built but lacks a few features and is a bit small for my use. I bought the crossover to replace my beloved 11…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
